Key & Metre
Clicking the Key button allows the initial key signature to be set. In addition to Major and Minor, Igor supports the other four basic Church Modes: Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian and Mixolydian, but Igor also has built-in support for keyless music: the "No Key" setting affects the selection of accidentals and other aspects of notation.


Time signatures, including the initial one, are set just as easily. Igor allows many forms of time signatures to be specified in a very simple way:
1. Just type in the time signature you want. You'll see a graphical depiction of what the time signature will look like in the score:   2. To create a Standard or Allabreve time signature, just click in the "C/Cut" box:

3. Clicking in the "No units" box suppresses the denominator, something which frequently is useful in Early Music:   4. Complex metres are entered just as easily:
