Creating & cloning pieces
After having created an empty Piece Window by selecting "New" from the File menu, you then need to specify what instruments and musicians appear in the piece.

For this, you use the Instrument Library. The Instrument Library is a comprehensive data base containing more than 300 instruments, ranging from traditional symphonic instruments to ethnic instruments, electronic instruments, typical wind band instruments, vocal instruments, multi-part choirs, as well as jazz, pop and rock instruments.

The Instrument Library holds instrument and staff names in six languages, transpositions, ranges, clefs, clef change points, brackets and braces for each instrument, barline breaks, and so forth. You can of course add new instruments to the Instrument Library, or edit copies you make. The Instrument Library is divided into instrument cathegories: Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Vocal, Plucked String, Keyboards and Bowed Strings.
