Contexual menus Igor has full support for contextual menus, which gives you a powerful yet intuitive means of manipulating your music. When you press the control key and click on a musical symbol or a selection of objects, a menu will pop up. It will contain commands relevant to the selected objects, the menu automatically adapts to the context (hence the name 'contextual menu'). An example is shown above: four objects are selected. |
|
1. the system textbox containing the word 'Tempo', 2. the key signature on the topmost staff, 3. a crotchet rest, 4. and a minim notehead. When you select an item from the contextual menu or any of its submenus, the operation will be applied to all objects for which it is meaningful: for instance, setting the stem direction in the example above will only affect notes; setting the justification to 'left' only affects the textbox. 'Hide objects', however, will hide all selected objects. |
