Igor Engraver knows that tuba trills are slower than clarinet trills, and that the auxiliary note depends on the chromatic context. Igor Engraver knows that chords are never perfectly synchronous. Igor Engraver will even cross-fade patches to create realistic pp<ff>pp envelopes, or simulate a tremolo or flatterzunge if no patch can be found.
